Jumping into the fray in defense of her client, Shawn Chapman Holley has voiced her displeasure with the Palm Desert police department.
The lawyer of troubled actress Lindsay Lohan lawyer bluntly told that investigators were out of line by proclaiming that the "Mean Girls" starlet violated her probation.
Miss Chapman Holley said, "The important, yet limited, investigatory role of the police to gather facts and collect evidence is well-established."
She continued, "The fact that the Palm Desert Police Department went outside this limited role to issue a press statement expressing its opinion about what should happen in Ms. Lohan's case is highly unusual and deeply troubling."
The statement comes after police said that Lohan had, indeed, committed battery against a Betty Fo
rd employee back on December 12th.
Lindsay is currently scheduled to go to court for a probation review hearing on February 25th.
